Someone once said, “Motherhood is not for the faint-hearted” – and boy do we agree! Before this pandemic swept the nations, being a mum was both the most rewarding job in the world, but also often one riddled with exhaustion, self-doubt, and fear. And now in this crazy season, not only are we mums, but teachers, playmates and entertainers.
It’s not an easy time, but we want to say to mums across the country that you’re not alone – there are others out there who can offer help and advice.
The Mum Show season 3 is a twelve-part series on being a mum in today’s world … whatever that may look like. Each thirty-minute episode will feature honest conversations, moments of soul-searching, expert advice and even the occasional light-hearted digression.
For this very unique season we have been delighted to partner with Care For The Family.

As a mum of two, I spent a few years riding the wave of sensationalist, scaremongering, internet-parenting gloom. From every direction, I was told the high statistics that my children would turn out porn-addicted, disaffected and depressed with no love for themselves or God.
I have to admit, it was a scary wave to ride, and it nearly drowned me. But in all of the hyped-up opinions of modern day misery, one element was missing - a heavenly father. What about those children who know their heavenly Father, who walk hand in hand with Jesus and hear the quiet whisper of the Holy Spirit? What if my role as “mum” was nothing to do with fending off evil and everything to do with introducing my children of promise to a God who loves them all the way to the cross and beyond, to a God who says, “I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for”. (Jeremiah 29:11 MSG)
The Mum Show exists to add God's voice to the modern day dialogue on parenting. To the mum who feels overwhelmed, the mum who has lost all sense of herself, the mum who needs to laugh or cry with a kindred spirit, the mum who needs some of that grace for her family or herself, make yourself comfy, the next 30 minutes are for you.
